Even the greatest artists can be intimidated when standing in front of a blank white canvas. Community art projects are a great opportunity to engage the undiscovered/ intimidated artist in the creative process. Booth Concept: A series of canvases are hang along the perimeter of a tent. In front of each canvas is a workstation with a variety of art supplies. guests are asked to contribute to the working canvas using the supplies at the select station. A bell is rung to encourage guests to move to the next station. Similar in play to musical chairs, the revolving artist removes the ownership of the work from one person to a community of artists. By placing a worked canvas in front of the intimidated artist, the uncertainties of one’s creative ability dissipate and slowly a collection of strokes become a masterpiece.
